The mission of Immaculate Conception School is to provide experiences to inspire, challenge, and nurture the mind, body, and spirit of our student within the framework of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the tradition of the Catholic Church.
"Lord God, our hope is in you, for you can do all things, provide all things and overcome all things!”

“Religion is our human response to the dual reality of being alive and knowing we must die.”
• “The purpose of life is to live in such a way that our lives will prove worth dying for.”
• “The only thing that can never be taken from us, even by death, is the love we give away before we go.”
“Want what you have; do what you can; and be who you are.” Forrest Church
A comment from one of my school dad’s…well worth pondering… and believing…” what helps to keep me grounded, i.e. ego in check is to remind myself that I am not the body, I am not the thoughts, the mind, nor the emotions....I am a divine spark from God. “ THANKS!

THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS We honor the “Admiral of the Ocean Sea” on Monday. More importantly, we can personally honor all the good work done by the 80K Knights in the State of Illinois. Each year, millions of hours of service work are done throughout the world. Their current project to assist Catholic Urban Programs and Catholic Social Service is a breakfast in Hecker on October 17. We need more student waiters…see the attachment. More importantly, we need people to come eat a free breakfast, listen to the good work being done, and then make a donation. I know everyone is busy but I will be there…won’t you? Please support these two worthy charities and enjoy the fellowship along the way!
WHAT MUST I DO TO GAIN ETERNAL LIFE? Jesus lets us know this Sunday…don’t get attached to your “things”….you know, the stuff you need a bigger garage for, or a storage shed, or another trophy case. They are just things. Everything I have on earth is for sale except my wife and kids is a good way to understand detachment from the material world. None of our “things” will fit in our personal “HOPE CHEST” which is another name for our casket or urn that will hold our earthly remains. So…to be happy, put your treasure, your stewardship, into what really counts. Help the poor, the lonely, those with less than you. Tithe. Guess what! You will find happiness beyond measure and the good you do will live on!
Sincerely,
Michael L. Kish
Principal
